That event did not start until 1996 as the Wiregrass Festival, and later became the Fire Ant Festival in 1997-1998. It is estimated, based on the ages of the people in this photo, that this happened between 1998 and 2000. Unfortunately, the mural is no longer visible since it was in bad disrepair. It was painted over in 2024 or 2025.
