Fiveash of Turner County, sentenced to two years in federal prison on a liquor conspiracy conviction, will face trial tomorrow on 28 charges of misconduct in office. So. Gen. W.J. Forehand filed a petition seeking Fiveash's removal from office at the request of a grand jury which had previously indicted the sheriff on eight counts. He was acquitted on one count and two others resulted in mistrials. Most of the indictments are covered in the petition. Trial fo the five counts remaining, which include embezzlement, extortion, and larceny after trust, was postponed. Fiveash, who has been Turner County sheriff since 1953, was sentenced to two years in prison recently by a federal district court which found him guilty of conspiring to operate a "moonshine" liquor ring in the Cordele area."
