THURSDAY

From Deedie Fay Cameron:
"I remember the interior and I would call it art deco. I recall the sconces on the walls and they were an art deco design. Similar, but not identical, to these. They were more geometric looking. The walls were painted a teal green color. The front of the balcony was ornate, dark wood from what I remember. The theatre was segregated. I always wanted to sit in the balcony, though, but couldn’t. The seats on the main floor were deep red colored cushions on metal frames that had designs on the frames of each isle seat. The floor was always sticky and so were the seats sometimes. The bathroom was painted the same teal color as the walls on the main floor with deep red trim. I was so sad when it burned. One of the movies featured on the marquis when it burned was Cool Breeze."</text>
