Title
Bethel Community Remembers School With Fondness
Description
Bethel School began in 1905 and closed its doors in 1957 when the schools were consolidated. The building was used as Prospect Methodist Church.
Between the time the school was built and 1938, two more rooms were added to provide more space. After the rooms were added, Bethel School consolidated with Friendship and Henderson Schools.
In 1938, the wooden school was torn down, and the 4-room brick building was built in its place.
They added a lunchroom in 1950.
