4 generations of Shinglers

"The above picture was taken after the christening at the Ashburn Methodist church of Herbert Ives Shingler III, son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. H.I. Shingler Jr. In the picture are four generations, all named Shingler, including H.I. Shingler Sr., Mrs. J.S. Shingler (Emma Shipman Baldwin Shingler), Lt. Col. H.I. Shingler Jr., and H.I. Shingler III, who is the only great grand child hat bears the name Shingler. Mrs. Shingler Sr. had nine children. She has thirteen living grand children, nine of them boys and all in service. They include Lt. Col. H.I. Shingler, Cpl. George Shingler,, Lt. Cmdr. Julian Shingler, Cpl. Clinton Shingler, Sgt. Simon Shingler, Lt. Jimmy Shingler, Clark Shingler M.O. M. M. 1-c, Pvt. Gordon McKenzie, Pvt. Henry McKenzie. There are also eight living great grand children."
