At its regular meeting last week, the festival voted to change the name to 'Wiregrass Festival.' This year's theme will be 'Flame the Fire Ant.'
Several committee members noted if the name is changed again, it will be done without them serving on the committee. The name was changed from Fire Ant Festival because of negative comments received."
