Staff Sgt. Leon Eugene Hobby, who is overseas, has been reported killed in action. He has been in service about four years and was in the Pearl Harbor attach. His name is now added to the honor roll of boys who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

His father, Mr. Wright Hobby and sister Miss Pauline Hobby live in Tifton. A brother, Mr. Warren L. Hobby lives in Fitzgerald. Staff Sgt. Hobby was a nephew of Mr. John B. Hobby, Mrs. Luther Hobby, Mr. Claude Hobby and Mrs. Dave Embry of Turner County. Mrs. A. L. Hobby is his grandmother.
