The home of Alex and Essenia “Essa” Howell Story. Alex has had many hats throughout his life but the two that stick out to me are former Mayor of Ashburn and Sheriff! Alex was Sheriff from 1929-1944 and mayor of Ashburn for most of 1954-1972.
