Main Street Ashburn, 1920s

May 3, 2026Ashburn

A fantastic photo find of Main Street in Ashburn, GA, and what looks to be a parade of some sort. My favorite little detail is that you can see a few folks just casually standing on the awning of the Betts-Evans Trading Company on the right-hand side.

What is your favorite detail?

Estimate date of this photo is the 1920s based on the cars.

From David Baldwin: “The Daddy Rabbit was located at the corner of SE Washington and Main, a merchandise store owned by Morgan Cantey of Bonaire, SC.”
